bankruptcy question? lawyers, feel free to answer. It's a legal mess?
My sister borrowed his fiance money to pay for his bankruptcy lawyer. He agreed to pay the money back and he has saved text messages verifying this. Since then they broke up and he has refused to pay his back. He says his bankruptcy lawyer told him that it is a violation of his bankruptcy for his to sue him for the money back. My sister says that this loan was not made part of his bankruptcy. Who is right? And if he is right is his some way for my sister to get his money back? By the way we are mn residents if that matters for state laws

Yes, I don’t have bad spending habits, I’m a business owner that used the credit I had to try and save a business in the downturning market. Now that my business is pretty much dead, I don’t make even 20% of what I used to make so this debt is way out of my league now…I also owe aprox 120,000 in equipment… -
We're about to file for bankruptcy.Can I include my latest bill or may it be considered fraud?
I haven’t paid my cell phone bill for a few months and they shut it off, charging me a total of about 5 hundred dollars for ending the contract. I don’t want the bankruptcy court to think that I did this on purpose just because I am filing for bankrupty (that would probably be considered fraud.) some ideas how many days need to pass before I can include it in my bankruptcy? Or do I just wait and pay it off when I have the money

About to file for bankruptcy – need more info?
My husband and I are about to sign our bankruptcy paperwork and the paralegal at the attorney’s office advised us to take 99% of the money in our bank accounts out immediately. My questions are: 1) do we need to keep receipts or do something to show where this cash is being spent since it isn’t in our account; 2) I’m guessing they may need a bank statement showing the account balance – how far back may we need to provide statements for? Thanks!

Can the US government sue AIG board members for INVOLUNTARY BANKRUPTCY?
Most people are aware of voluntary bankruptcy where you may put yourself under such protection to pay off your debts with your existing assets but there is something called INVOLUNTARY BANKRUPTCY where your debtors can bring you to bankruptcy to get the money owed to them. Should the US government use this to take the existing board members who made such bad decision over the years to get back the 700 billion we are paying them. This way it won’t price the taxpayers much and we can see them dirt poor. FUCK THEM!

How does Storehouse filing bankruptcy effect money I owe them.?
Storehouse’s parent, The Rowe Cos., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week, some Storehouse locations are being closed.
I am set to pay them 00 dollars (1/31/06) for a piece of furniture I bought from them with his credit card (12 months no interest).
The credit card is through a 3rd party…HSBC Retail Services.
