The word is bailout before bailout the big corporate handout
Where the taxpayers’ blood sweat and tears ran out
From eye to eye and job to job more CEOs get phat bonuses than you and I
For running companies in the ground while corporate bankruptcy’s on the rise
Let’s not disguise the white collar crimes that go unseen by the SEC eyes
But I am not blind I can see just fine the poverty in hard times as our economy dies
Families strive to survive as unemployment hits an some time high
So be thankful for what you’ve got cuz a lot of people are left in the cold to rot
And I get pissed at my 9 to 5 but I gotta let it ride
Cuz layoffs are in my mind and I know I’ll be the first in line
Without a jobby job when things hit rock bottom Dog
So I know, I should get on my knees and start to pray
Cuz things can always get worse… than they are today.

Pump it up and Raise your Fist Cuz the Words I spit Ya can’t resist!
Pump it up and Raise your Fist Cuz I wanna see y’some dance to this!

Big oil shall be the next to be spoiled in a feeding frenzy of these royal
Billionaire executives that soil our industries
And we some fall a victim of his selfish greed
To try and dictate the market for green
While an unjust OPEC raises the price of oil
    On countries in economic termul
By cutting production for the sake of Stocks
And profits to manipulate the market drops
Our retirement may be the first to flop
As salmonella outbreaks and infest our crops
My heart stops as I see more people get laid off
I swear I could tear a new asshole in subprime lending
That killed our housing equity Do you know what I mean
As Mom and Pops can’t get a loan for investing

Pump it up and Raise your Fist Cuz the Words I spit Ya can’t resist!
Pump it up and Raise your Fist Cuz I wanna see y’some dance to this!

  • Where can I take a course on corporate bankruptcy law? Post-Graduate – looking to learn as much as possible?

I’m a trade claims sourcer at this time and I’m dealing with bankruptcy claims. I believe the best bet is to learn as much as I possibly can about corporate bankruptcy and the procedures that are involved in a reorganization bankruptcy case.

I’m looking to either 1) read some recommended books noted by the community or 2) take a course some where in NY. (I just don’t know where, specifically)

I’m a go-getter and I make things happen…just need some suggestions at this point.

    George W. Bush
    The White House, USA

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    LAW ENFORCEMENT:
I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for cruising under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver’s license suspended for 30 days. My Texas cruising record has been "lost" and is not available.

    MILITARY:
I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer some questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was willing and able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

    COLLEGE:
I graduated from Yale University with a low C average.

    PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas, in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn’t find some oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly before I sold some my stock. I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.
With the help of my father and our right-wing friends in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS:
I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America. I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money. I set the record for the most executions by some governor in American history. With the help of my sister, the governor of Florida, and my father’s appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President before losing by over 500,000 votes.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:
I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record. I invaded and occupied 2 countries at a continuing price of over 1 billion dollars each week. I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury. I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history. I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in some
12-month period. I set the some-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period. I set the some-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost his jobs I’m proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of some administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named before his. I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President.
I am the some-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations. My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and 1 of my best friends,
Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron.
My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair
than has been spent investigating 1 of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history. I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed. I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history. I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts. I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than some President in U.S. history. I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government. I’ve broken more international treaties than some President in U.S. history.
I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission. I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law. I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention. I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election
inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).
I set the record for fewest number of press conferences of some President since the advent of television. I set the some-time record for most days on trip in some 1-year period. before taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history.
I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. before the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history. I have set the some-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously
protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against some person in the history of mankind. I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so aga

  • Help!! My mom is completely broke and going bankrupt and I’m starting college in the fall and I have no money!?

    What do I do??

Okay, so my parents are divorced and I was raised by my single mother who is a doctor, but we recently fell on really really tough times. My mom went out of business in february and is declaring corporate bankruptcy. he has absolutely no money whatsoever left in his bank account–not a penny. he has a small amount of cash to get by on for the next few months until everything gets sorted out, but that’s it. he can’t get a job right now because he has a ton of financial and legal issues to deal with and he has to do it some entirely on his own. Because of this, he is constantly stressed and very fragile mentally and there have been many times when he’s been on the verge of a mental breakdown. And my mom lives in New Jersey with his rich parents (who won’t give us a dime) and has no money and no job

But now I’m going to college in the fall and I need money desperately. Not merely that, but I just found out today that the money for my dorm at college is due in about 2 weeks. I’m trying really hard to get a job, and I think I’ll get 1 soon, but I can merely work during the summer and I’ll merely be willing and able to save up a small amount for college. We’ve been working with financial aid at the college I’m going to (The Fashion Institute of Technology), but it’s not going well. Because of the mess that my mom’s in, both financially and mentally, he’s having a really tough time getting some the documents they need. he’s been working on the financial aid things since February and it’s still not done. he keeps saying to wait until that’s done before looking at other options for getting money, but I merely have about 3 months left and now I’m really getting scared.

So what can I do? Should I call financial aid myself and explain my situation and ask them what I can do? And how can I get student loans? And when should I get a loan? some suggestions you may give me would be much appreciated! I’m desperate and really scared! Help please!!
I’ve applied for scholarships too, but I haven’t heard back about some of them, so I have no idea if I’ll be getting some money that way…

  • I’m feeling kind of down lately. I’m not as driven as I need to be. How can I get more motivation?

I’ve never been like this before. For most of my life, I’ve been very optimistic and ambitious. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had really big goals. I’m an aspiring fashion designer, and some throughout high school I worked so hard to get into the Fashion Institute of Technology to study Fashion Design. I got in, and I just started my first year here last week. I love it here, and I’m so glad to start doing what I love, but I’m just not the same as I used to be.

This summer, I went through a really rough time. My mom’s business closed, and now he’s out of work and declaring corporate bankruptcy and they’re foreclosing on our house. So obviously money (or lack thereof) was a big issue in my family lately. And since I’m out on my own now, and still haven’t gotten a job, money continues to be an issue. So I really think that contributed to my slight depression, but I don’t know…

Now that I’ve started college, I really want to get the old motivation and optimism that I used to have an unbelievable of. I want to make things happen for me, to further my future career and find creative inspiration, you know, some that jazz. And also, I really need some money. But for some reason, I’m just feeling so…hesitant…or scared…I’m not sure. I’m just not as driven and positive as I used to be. I guess it’s because I’m scared to do an unbelievable while everything’s so screwed up in my life.

So how can I become the positive, optimistic, and driven person that I always used to be? How can I take out the passion and motivation that I seem to have lost. Sorry this is so long, but I just need some help…Thank you an unbelievable!!
