his is already ruined and there is a pending lawsuit against him for the medical bills. They won’t take and payment unless it is a minimum payment of 400 a month and we can’t afford that. That’s why we were told to consider bankruptcy.
No I am not including myself in this bankrupcty. We are not married but would like to get married. My is excellent his is screwed, we can’t get married until this is taken care of because of the issues. That is why I am trying to figure out options for him.

    $11k is not insurmountable- it will take discipline and a few years, but it can be paid off- please reconsider ruining your credit over only $11k.

    And, no, the lawyer is not ;taken care of’ YOU are responsible for them.

    No. And the other bills aren’t "taken care of." I don’t think you’ll find a lawyer to file it for you without 100% of his/her fee up front. Edit: If you are not married, I hope you don’t include yourself in the bankruptcy. That’s a whole new set of problems. I don’t where you are or if fees are comparable but a bankruptcy lawyer was $1,400. several years ago.
