How do you go about filing for bankruptcy> Or who qualifies?

Bankruptcy is an absolute last resort because the consequences affect your financial future for 7-10 years.
You should try to establish whether there is an alternative. If there is some way you can avoid bankruptcy you should take it.
Bankruptcy is now more difficult and more complex than it once was and it is not an easy option. There’s a website here which explains the implications of bankruptcy and which has links you can follow to explore the alternatives. Do this before you make any decisions!
I hope this helps. Good luck!

If by help you mean, get rid of all your unsecured debt so you can get back to living a normal life, yes bankrupty does this. Your credit won’t be stellar when you do it, but if things are that bad, I doubt you have good credit to begin with.
While more documentation is required now for bankruptcy, if you need to file you need to file. Debt consolidation and credit counseling don’t always accomplish what you need and ca often result in scams. If you think you need to file you should consult with a bankruptcy attorney who can explain the process to you so you can make a decision.
